Updated Safeguard Functionality: Remote Hazard Reporting

Safeguard users are now able to report a hazard by simply sending a text message to the system. Hazards can be sent by anyone, whether a Safeguard user or another member of staff, and senders will receive an automated response by text or email, confirming receipt of the hazard. When a text message is received, Safeguard can be configured to send a notification to a user responsible for managing hazards. Safeguard’s hazard management process is then instigated, allowing resolution or closure of the hazard through creating, allocating, and scheduling tasks. When the hazard has been resolved, Safeguard will also notify the original sender to let them know of this progress.The benefits of this new functionality are widespread, from reinforcing a proactive Health & Safety culture, to encouraging staff awareness and involvement. Hazard reporting becomes quick and easy, staff are equipped and encouraged to take an active role in safety.
