A number of Safeguard clients have won prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards. The Awards were presented at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel to organisations who have achieved high levels of performance underpinned by well developed management systems which are delivering consistent improvements. Organisers said that this year saw a record number of entries despite the downturn.
Winners of the Gold Award include ABB, Atkins, Babcock and Wincanton and winners of the Silver Award include Cemex, Crossrail, QinetiQ, Veolia Environmental and Genesis Housing Group.
Colin Conboy, Group Head, Health and Safety at Genesis Housing Group said: ” We take the matter of proactive Health and Safety awareness seriously. The RoSPA Award recognises our commitment to implementing and maintaining robust Health and Safety management systems which ensure the safety and well being of our employees and customers. Safeguard is one of the cornerstones of our management system. Safeguard has helped us to identify, respond to and control risks more effectively. We look forward to building on our success and to making even greater use of Safeguard in the future.”
