Rivo Software Launches New Environmental Management System
Rivo is pleased to announce the introduction of our new Environmental Management System (EMS), which is fully integrated with our existing Safety and Health platforms.
The system is designed to help organisations manage all their environmental “aspects” and “impacts”, including Environmental Audits, Events, and Risk Assessments, whilst
also co-ordinating all Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting data.
The EMS allows organisations to streamline their environmental management information and to have access to real-time environmental information for reporting purposes.
Features of the EMS include the easy identification of environmental patterns and trends so that areas of non-conformance can be identified quickly.
Simon Hook, Managing Director, commented: “Clients have come to rely on our existing Safeguard platform to provide standardisation, control and visibility across their
organisations for Safety and Health issues. From that base, development of our new Environmental Management System has been led by demands of our clients, who saw the potential
to extend the functionality of our best-in-class software”.

Remote Hazard Reporting Safeguard users are now able to report a hazard by simply sending a text message to the system.
Hazards can be sent by anyone, whether a Safeguard user or another member of staff, and senders will receive an automated response by text or email, confirming receipt of the hazard.
When a text message is received, Safeguard can be configured to send a notification to a user responsible for managing hazards. Safeguard’s hazard management process is then instigated, allowing resolution or closure of the hazard through creating, allocating, and scheduling tasks. When the hazard has been resolved, Safeguard will also notify the original sender to let them know of this progress.
The benefits of this new functionality are widespread, from reinforcing a proactive Health & Safety culture, to encouraging staff awareness and involvement. Hazard reporting becomes quick and easy, staff are equipped and encouraged to take an active role in safety.
