What we do
Rivo Software exists to help global organisations drive revenues, reduce costs, mitigate risk and protect their people and ultimately, reputations. We do this by providing client-focused software solutions that exactly fit their needs to help them gain control and visibility and go beyond compliance.
The Rivo Foundation
The Rivo Foundation was set up by the employees of Rivo Software. The directors of Rivo believe that companies should not only enhance the lives of staff, suppliers and customers but also directly help local communities. Individuals from Rivo have spent many hours raising funds for charities over the years, however there has never been a vehicle for the company to donate directly. The Rivo foundation performs this function.
Essentially Rivo Software will donate money to the foundation. These funds will be donated without strings to local communities to help with almost anything or to support environmental and safety initiatives globally.
Rivo employees will decide on where the money will go and for you or community to get funds we need you to fill in the application on this site. We recommend you read the FAQ page which has some advice on how to fill in the application and what the process is after that.
The Rivo Foundation provides no-strings grants to:
- enable people to do good stuff in our local communities and;
- support environmental and safety initiatives globally
Supported by Rivo Software, our objectives are to provide funding in a no-nonsense way with the minimum of red-tape. Let’s get the money doing good stuff as quickly as possible. For further information, visit www.rivofoundation.org.
Rivo was founded in 2003 by Simon Hook and Matt Duckhouse with one guiding principle that still remains our driving force today – to help a global client base go beyond compliance and protect their most important assets – their people and reputations. The organisation quickly grew into a significant player in the Health & Safety marketplace, soon gaining a client list of well-known and recognised organisations envied by the competition.
As well as expanding the wealth of talent and experience in EMEA headquarters based in Warwick, UK, Rivo entered the US market in 2009 and opened the first fully-fledged US office in Norwalk, CT not long after before moving to larger premises in Stratford, CT in December 2012.
In June 2013, in the most significant and exciting milestone in the company’s history, Rivo were acquired by two of the leading PE companies in the business – Kennet Partners and Fidelity Growth Partners Europe. The additional investment that this has provided has further catalysed Rivo’s growth in EMEA, the Americas, Australasia and APAC with new offices opened in Cluj, Romania and also in Singapore.

What others say about us
“When I first started looking at software suppliers, I did a lot of research on the market and found myself looking at Rivo’s Safeguard system. I must say that it was the best choice. I purchased a few modules of the system to start off with and am planning to expand the system in the future. The Rivo team have worked with me for approximately two months to modify the system to meet my exact requirements. Any changes to the existing layout, reporting or any other aspect was done quickly and efficiently and I now have a system designed to fit with my organization and it is exactly what I needed. You can’t go wrong with Rivo.”
“We are extremely pleased with both the product and service provided by the Rivo team. Our objective was to consolidate all of our H&S documentation and processes in one place and to control H&S activities from Head Office, whilst still allowing remote locations access. The system has exceeded our expectations, as proven by a recent evaluation which gave 100% satisfaction score in terms of ease of use by approximately 50 end users. At a senior level, Safeguard has provided us with an excellent overview of H&S activity throughout the company and useful report writing facilities. Throughout the rest of the business, it has encouraged employees to take more responsibility for Health & Safety at their individual levels, assisting them in prioritising and managing required actions.”
“One of the major benefits of the Rivo Safeguard system is the speed with which we can identify accident, incident and near miss trends. This means we are able to plan for our resources in order to pinpoint those areas where we can maximise improvement.”
“Safeguard is an effective tool that helps us to comply with an ever increasing number of Health & Safety regulations. Easy to install and simple to use, it helps me achieve Health & Safety compliance and protect our employees’ safety at work. It has been tailored to meet our specific needs and we are very pleased with the results.”
